Why Is Flower Preservation Priced This Way?

Each pressed flower piece is a handmade, original artwork—crafted with precision, care, and many hours of detailed work. Below is an approximate breakdown of the time and steps involved in transforming a bridal bouquet into framed floral art:

  • 🌸 Flower Pressing (Up to 3 hours)

Each bouquet is carefully deconstructed, and every bloom or petal is pressed by hand. Some flowers must be separated into parts to preserve them properly.

  • ⏳ Drying & Monitoring (6–8 weeks)

Flowers are monitored regularly several weeks to ensure perfect preservation. Dry time may vary depending on flower type.

  • 🧩 Flower Reconstruction (2–4 hours)

Once dried, delicate flowers are rebuilt by hand to restore their original beauty—especially those with complex petal structures.

  • 🎨 Designing & Layout (2+ hours)

Glass is prepared and the preserved flowers are arranged into several designs. Photos are sent for your approval. Up to one redesign permitted without further fee.

  • ✨ Colour Enhancement (Optional | 2–4 hours)

This optional process slows fading and maintains vibrant hues—ideal for most bouquets that may otherwise discolour over time.

  • 🖌️ Assembly & Mounting (1–2 hours)

Once approved, the design is adhered to glass. All glue residue and fingerprints are meticulously removed for a flawless finish.

  • 🔨 Framing (2–3 hours)

Hand-soldered using the Tiffany stained glass method, then cleaned, patinaed, waxed, and polished.

Timber frames are handmade by a local artisan framer with care and craftsmanship for each order.

⏱️ Total Time: 10–20 Hours of Hands-On Work

From pressing to delivery, the entire process can take 5–9 months, depending on the season and demand. Peak seasons may extend the timeline by 4–12 weeks.

(Note: This time estimate doesn’t include emails, admin, or client communication—just the art creation itself.)
